If you were asked what the top travel destinations are in the world, what might you say? Obviously, everyone would have a personal list which may or may not depend on whether they have been to the destination.
For example, many people may say that Paris is one of the top travel destinations in the world because of watching documentaries, movies, or reading a book. Even though they may have never been to Paris, it would be part of their top list.
Some cities obviously are world-renowned and would make the top ten list quite easily. The cities of New York, Paris, Rome, Singapore, Sydney, Bangkok, London, Dubai, Vancouver, and Tokyo are cities that may appear on anyone’s list. All of the cities mentioned here are world-class cities and would make a great travel destination for individuals, couples, or families.
Let’s take the example of Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. Vancouver is a world-class destination that has everything to offer the visitor. It has snow-capped mountains close by, the ocean, exciting sport teams, outdoor adventures, beautiful scenery, delicious cuisine, wonderful places to stay, and the list goes on and on.
You can visit Vancouver during the summer or the winter. Vancouver hosted the winter Olympics and if you enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating then a trip to Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains is a must. For anyone who loves to fish, a fishing trip to Vancouver will provide you with a great fishing experience as you hook your line onto a fighting salmon or sturgeon.
New York city in the United States is another obvious destination choice for many people. New York has great nightlife and in fact it is often said that New York never sleeps. New York has wonderful museums and parks.
One of the most famous parks in the entire world is Central Park which is in the middle of this huge cosmopolitan. New York also is well-known for Broadway, New York Yankees, Opera, cuisine from every part of the world, Empire State building, and the Statue of Liberty.
London also is an exciting city that has people from every part of the world. This makes it a cultural delight for any traveler into the city. London has many historical buildings that a visitor would want to see such as Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Tower of London. London is also famous for the performing arts including many well worth attending operas.
You can take a tour on a double-Decker bus through the city of London. The tour may take you through exciting neighborhood such as Hampstead, Wimbledon, Crystal Palace, Camden Town, and Greenwich. You could also rent a car and visit some of the attractive markets such as the Camden Canal market. Plan some time for a traditional afternoon tea or visit a English pub for a pint and a lunch of fish and chips.
It does not really matter which 10 cities are on your top travel destination list. The most important thing is to try and visit each one of those cities if possible. This will allow you to experience firsthand, the beauty and splendor of various world-class cities and their cultures.
